Terms and Conditions

  1. Our terms and conditions apply exclusively in the absence of any other agreement with the customer.
  2. Services encompasses the creation of translations and documentation as well as any related consulting services; the creation, maintenance and revision of customer-specific terminology databases; training in the area of translation; country-specific adjustment of documentation and computer programs and the creation of technical documents; the implementation of computer programs, particularly programs for translation and documentation management (referred to as "services" hereinafter).
  3. Services are completed in the best possible way and as quickly as possible within the operational conditions.
  4. All service requests are handled with the utmost discretion. Our employees are bound by confidentiality agreements made with us. If documentation provided by a customer must be stored in a particularly secure location, the customer must specifically request this (this is an obligation).
  5. We reserve the right to direct queries relating to statements or descriptions contained in text to the customer; however, we are not obliged to do so. Our service obligation is fulfilled if we translate texts to the best of our knowledge and experience and according to a common language understanding.
  6. If the service outcome must be reproduced in writing, only this written statement is authoritative. Provided no other agreement has been reached, the service performed by Eule Lokalisierung GmbH is usually compensated electronically (for example, in a file) in the absence of no other type of compensation being chosen by Eule Lokalisierung GmbH.
  7. Any verbal explanations and information provided by employees of Eule Lokalisierung GmbH outside of the issued request are non-binding.

  1. Technical expressions, insofar as there have been no instructions or additional documents provided, are also translated using standard, lexicographical and comprehensible language. If the customer requires specific terminology to be used, particularly if this terminology is company-specific, the customer must explicitly specify this when issuing the request, otherwise no obligation to do this applies. (Obligation)
  2. The contract that the customer awards to Eule Lokalisierung GmbH is a binding offer. Eule Lokalisierung GmbH has a week to accept this offer if it so chooses and will accept by sending an order confirmation. The agreement is finalized if Eule Lokalisierung GmbH provides written confirmation that it accepts the request within this period of time.
  3. The customer is obliged to inform Eule Lokalisierung GmbH in a timely manner of particular forms that the translation is to take (translation on data media, number of copies, external form of the translation etc). Without being asked, and in a timely manner, the customer is to provide the translator with any information and documents which are necessary to complete the translation (the client’s glossaries, titles used by the company, images, drawings, tables, acronyms etc.). For this reason, every source text should be composed according to the rules of modern spelling and punctuation, and use only formulations and terms that are clearly comprehensible (even for non-specialists).
  4. Eule Lokalisierung GmbH is not liable for errors that result from noncompliance with the conditions set by this contract.
  5. Payment is due immediately after the service has been performed. The calculation basis for the services is the respective quotation from Eule Lokalisierung GmbH. This also applies for external services that are performed, for example, on the premises of the customer. If the services are settled after the days provided, after six hours, a half day will be rounded up and calculated as a whole day. Where permitted by law, sales tax is also charged.
