Eule's Customers: SUN

There is a whole world beyond Windows!

From time to time, well-known corporations like Sun Microsystems look for new providers using a selection process which includes, amongst other things, test translations.

We took this test in May 2006 for the EMEA G11N Center in Hamburg and got a clear "PASS" for German, French, Russian, and Brazilian Portuguese. In July 2006, we completed the Vendor Qualification Process thus gaining the offical title "Authorized Sun Localization Provider" for the four languages mentioned above. This process lead to a multi-year service contract between Sun and Eule.

Hardware

Sun documentation for high-end and mid-range servers is predominantly created in SGML using Structured FrameMaker 7.1 in Solaris 9.

Software

In 2005, Sun's annual average translation volume was 40 million words.

For the successful localization projects for the Sun Java Enterprise System (JES) that we carried out for Sun TLIS (Translation and Language Information Services) in Hamburg, Prague, Beijing, or Yokohama, we had to follow extensive localization guidelines that were sent as part of the respective localization kits to Eule.

In our co-operation with Sun Microsystems, Eule has proven to be a reliable partner with quality results that are far above the average.

In the Sun language hierarchy, we have enhanced our portfolio to include more and more languages, right through to the important Asian languages - Chinese, Japanese and Korean.
