Editors, DTP
Even if the TM largely relieves translators from layouting tasks by separating them from the source format, quite a bit of work has to be done in the source format prior to and after the actual translation. Formats most frequently used by us include Word, Excel, InDesign, Powerpoint, FrameMaker, QuarkXpress. Moreover, there are web editors, such as Dreamweaver, and graphics applications, such as Illustrator, Photoshop, or Visio.
Communications
Almost all of our work orders and the vast majority of our customer communications are handled electronically. For these purposes, we utilize e-mail, FTP, HTTP upload, an internal Wiki, VPN access, etc. A company-wide anti-virus protection and a firewall plus regular backups take care of data security and safety. We would be pleased to discuss and implement special and/or automated file transfer and communication solutions with and for you.
Project Management
We manage our projects by means of the across workflow features, a customized accounting software, and our own database applications. In this way, we ensure complete, proper, and timely processing of all customer orders.
